I had to work two part-time jobs to scratch together the money for my new watch.(我必須打兩份工才湊買我新手錶的錢。)

  • 搔癢,i.e. He scratches his ear
The cat scratched her(貓抓傷她)
  • 刪去,i.e. After sustaining a knee injury, his coach scratched his name of the list(他膝蓋受傷後,他的教練把的的名字從名單上刪除

She scraped the paint off the table(她把桌上的漆刮掉)
  • 擦傷,i.e. I fell off my bike and scraped my knees(我從腳踏車摔下來,擦傷我的膝蓋)
