我不是英國歌手艾黛兒的粉絲，總覺得她的嗓音過於滄桑，有超過年齡的悲苦調調。不過我卻非常喜歡她翻唱美國創作歌手 Bob Dylan 這首《Make You Feel My Love》（讓你感受我的愛）。
微微沙啞的嗓音，愛黛兒的唱腔帶著卑微，不是告訴聽者我要 make you feel my love，而是纏繞著絲絲乞求，請求對方接受自己對對方的濃烈感情。
有多愛？
愛到所有人都棄你而去，沒人為你擦眼淚時，我還要擁抱你一百萬年。
When… there is no one there to dry your tears,/ I could hold you for a million years/To make you feel my love.
比起原唱，我更喜歡愛黛兒演唱的版本，覺得更符合歌詞。
放眼各國情歌，不管是中文、韓語，英語等，說愛，歌詞不外是天長地久，海枯石爛，我的愛情永遠不會變調的誓言。這首歌也不例外（不是直翻，不過意思差不多）。我個人偏愛第四段的歌詞：
I’d go hungry; I’d go black and blue,
And I’d go crawling down the avenue.
No, there’s nothing that I wouldn’t do
To make you feel my love.
我願意為你挨餓（“go hungry”），還願意為你搞得黑黑藍藍（”black and blue”），為你爬過大街。喔，了，總之沒有什麼事情是 “我” 不願意為你做的，I’ll do anything for you 啦。
不過什麼是 “black and blue”？其實正確的翻譯為「我願意為你 青一塊，紫一塊」，意：我願意為你做任何事情，甚至傷痕累累，滿佈瘀青也在所不惜！

適當的低落也是有其美感。能如此刻骨銘心愛一回，誰能說是好是壞？不過不要真的 black and blue 倒是。
最近我還真是名符其實的 black and blue, both physical and emotionally，好痛好痛
